Verizon Phone w/o data plan? HELP. Please.?

I'm looking to purchase a new phone from ebay, this is what i'm looking for... Something with a slider and qwerty keyboard. Maybe even a touch screen. I don't care if it is a year or two old but anything past 5 is way to old. What can you suggest.? Oh I should mention I need one WITHOUT the DATA PLAN. What phones have you had like this, how did they work? I've looked into the cosmo's and env's. any other ones. I can have an altell phone too. Thank you.
