What do you know about other countries, and where did you get the information?

I have never been to another country, so I have no idea what another country is like. For many years I heard stories, that people live in grass huts, and in jungles, and that they all have different cultures. There are alot of stories. However I would like to know the truth, about what other countries are really like.
