Why do Japanese say....?

Why do Japanese say....like let's say there this word 'nai' I hear like in songs they said 'na-i' and some they said the word 'nai' together, this also happen "-n" word. For instance the word 'Guren' people said 'gure-n' and some said 'guren'. So someone please clear this up for me. Thanks
