Should I adopt this cat!? Please help!!!?

You should adopt him. He sounds exactly like my cat and he looks like him too. Those kind of cats take a while to get used to you, but once they do they make great companions. Most likely he doesn't like being held,(when he scratched you) but if you leave him alone then he'll come right to you. Give him a try, he may be a great cat.
