"Japanese Hair Straightening"?

Ok, so i got my hair done with this b4. I loved it but i got it done at a beauty college. so it eventually came out but i didnt think it was supposed to. I dyed my hair super dark but to get it back to its normal blonde color i got some blonde highlights on the top of my hair onlye. i went to a professional salon and they said i had really strong hair and can get it done. is it ok to? i got the hilights like a yr ago and it was a very small part of my hair. can i get it done? and how long will it last since theyre professional? my hair is pretty straight with some waves but its veryyyy puffy thats why i want it done. thanks!!
